It's definatly an MX-3 gone rice, but at least you didn't do that.

I think I recall someone trying to sell that custom orange interior on this board previously. It had the edges pulling away then as well. I have been on this board for some time as well.

Overall, for 750, just clean it up and drive it.

Perhaps go to the wreckers and pick up a normal set of door panels, then put in a ze or de.

Its kind of like adopting an abused dog, it may look rough and even bite you sometimes but after some TLC and a good wash and flea treatment... it will make a loyal man's best friend.

Okay, some of you guys are going to yell at me for the ghetto CAI but its only temporary. I have tried to do as much work as I can with out breaking the bank but this is what I have done so far, plugs, wires, high flo cat, replace the throttle body, fixed some dents (well kind of, I'm still learning) and I'm in the process of priming. sorry but I havnt had a chance to clean it up but here are some pics. Btw i still have the "catch me tailight"

Oh yeah, while changing the brakes I found out that my front springs are from a 323. Will that be a problem?

"Hot rod with what you've got". I grew up this way. If it has to be drier exhaust CAI, do it as long as it works. We're not rich. I saw a cool sticker on an MX-3, and refined it a little: "Built, not bolted on". If you had a Honda, you could bolt stuff like that on, cheap, but then you'd be driving a common Honda.
Here's a couple of suggestions. Take off the old CAI scoop completely, and bolt the hhood latch holder where it is bolted on. Just drill the rivet out. Take your time perfectly smoothing the paint surface. Even flat primer doesn't hide the dents. For now, you can wet sand the primer with 800, then 1000, to make it look more even.
It's looking better already! Keep it up!

It's not hard to see how you got this car for under a grand. The fact that it runs good though, and the body is in overall good condition is a step in the right direction. Good luck de-ricing it. :welder:
