after O2 sensor changed... now idles wierd...

uhhhh... im a little confused .... i changed my o2 sensor ... and my oil .... and added some tranny oil..... reset my computer (kl31)...and now my idle dropped ... i use to idle at 1,300 rpm.... now im like at 900..... is this normal... my old sensor was bad.... this one is new ... universal but new....

all help is appreciated as usuall ... thanks...

i suppose you have a KLZE , i think 1300 is to much, the same for 900 rpm. The k8 engine have normal idle at 670 rpm +30 or -30, i have a KFZE , idles around 600 or 700 .

I wish my idle was that low :/

whenever i try tolower it the car just stals because its to rich. :/ i think its good that it idles that low for you.


as for me i let it like that since my o2 sensors wont matter in a few weeks when i install my megasquirt.

okay yes... idle ... not the subject.... is it normal for it to do that.... after changing o2 sensor..... is it normal for my idle to change.

If the sensor was dead i'm not surprised the idle changed when you put a new one in. Plus, why does it matter? Your idle is a lot closer to normal, that's a good thing. Stop questioning it.

good.... now that we got that down. thanks .... no its not normal for my car.... after i boosted it just doesnt idle smooth unless its over 1,200 but thanks ill just bump it up some....

I want to take advantage of this and post a link with my IDLE rpm , it looks low but i dont have any vibrations or neither the engine dies. worked good so far.
