i heard those are chinese turbos and they cant hold over 10ps1....good starter turbo for a project for the price......does ne one know of the truth to this or these turbos? im interested too

I have one but i won't be running it on my car until i get a built 2.5 swapped in, even though the engine will be built i still won't go over maybe 10 lbs of boost . Otherwise it seems like a solid turbo.

I took it to a shop and was adviced they do work.. however they are made of the cheapest materials you can find. The bearing isnt that good. it wont hold over 10 psi. I heard they do make power but well you get what you pay for.

Try lookin for the Garret t3/t4 knock off turbo, it seems to work fine and can handle boost, and is decent quality, my bro runs on on his civic and has not had a problem with it, and hes at 11psi with it.

tell you what guys when i was working at the shop

we bought one of these turbo's and

yeah

that turbo at 18psi was one one that made a 12.8@110 back in 12-06. I had it my mx-3 for a 1-2 months untill i replaced it with a 57 trim turbo.. which on that other turbo i made a 12.4@118.

so yeah that cheap turbo held up for about 2 months at 18 psi (remember not 24/7) and it was on a daily basis..

we just wanted to know if it was any good.. its ok but i didn't trust it and thats why i change it out..

some other guy got it from me and we its still alive. @15psi..

maybe that turbo was just lucky some how..
