it has the same issues that the klze straight neck has it hits the brake resivour/booster, its a simple fix you just need to grab a millinia intake manifold. which in itself will be a nice upgrade as your increasing airflow by the larger IM and TB or you can use the k8 IM with the kfze TB but by doing so your restricting airflow. if you use the millinia IM with the TB it'll bolt right on without any problems, you can even use there fuel rails and injectors since its the same size, and the kf01 ecu wont have any issues

Well then how did Barry run his kfze(for 10 min.) with the kf15, then sold it to Hec who used it for months?

I am selling the motor this guy is talking about and i have the kf15 ecu to go with it, everything i have ever heard is that this is the correct ecu.

yea we did, ours went literally right around the same time, and our swaps happened right around the same time too. It's ashamed cause we raced to see who would be the 1st one with it done, and well we both lost haha

so the correct ecu is the kf15.....theres only one other thing i'm thinkin about for this swap.....what exhaust setup will fit? i'm pretty sure the stock down pipes on the mx-3 won't fit.....will headers for a probe gt or mx-6 work? :?

if you want headers then just get the ss autochrome ones or obx of ebay for the mx6 probe, you'll just have to move your cat back some. but you can use the k8 exhaust manifolds and downpipe for now just need to plug the egr off which is easy, remove the bolt that the egr originally plugs in to, then get you a bolt and washer (i think 17 is the size) torque the hell of it into the inside of the bolt the egr originally plugs into (by inside i mean the bolts head should be inside the exhaust manifold) just torque the bolt into it'll go in with a little bit of manly force lol and will seal it to where you dont have an exhaust leak. Or you can go to home depot and find a bolt that actually fits it. i did mine the way i describe it for the simple fact i tons of bags of bolts.

Just pretend you are dropping another k8 in there.. thats basically what it is, with a few lbs of torque. Pretend its a fresh k8. Direct swap if you use stock manifold and kf15 ecu. If you want headers its the same as if u had headers for the k8.

As far as the swap goes, if you have never swapped anything in your mx3 before. Once you do, you will be amazed at how easy it really is.

Nate
