Exhaust Manifold Heat Shield, RATTLE RATTLE!

So um... quick question For a smart(ish) person:

taking off the heat shield, is that a bad idea?

And erm... is it bad if while attempting to take off the heat shields, the bolt heads break?

It's got some mad corrosion where it secures onto the pre cat down below and loves to go RATTLE RATTLE! Quite annoying.

So obviously the engine compartment would be hotter than usual without it, no? Would it be hot enough to make a difference? Plus, I like taking things off my car...

i've never had one on mine... never had an issue...and i have a short-ram...

so erm... does it really matter if the bolts just... break off, will it be an issue if I do any other custom work on my engine? such as replacing the headers?
cuzz... I tried to remove it and broke one already... oops...

break off the bolts, and take it off, dont worry about it, i have never had one on my car.
