K8 ECU Pinout Diagram Needed

Post by Mazdaracer »

Hey guys,

First off, yes i searched 8) and have been looking for the past few hours... but i just can't sift through 192 pages of threads...thats just way too many. So thanks in advance if you have this info.

I am getting ready to wire up my megasquirt with a K8 engine harness and require the K8 ECU pinouts. I have located the KL pinouts here but i am not sure if they are a match or not to the K8.

I did notice that ccreech has an Exel file and i've PM'd him, hopefully he'll be around soon and maybe help me out. :P

Thank you.

Its in the manual, just not the online manual.
Someone will have to scan it for you.

The pre-96 KL ecu pinouts should be the same.

Well on a PGT they can use a K8 ECU, and we can use a KL ECU if you use their VAF. I wouldnt think there'd be any differences as far as engine management is concerned.

ahhh, i wasn't aware you could swap the ECUs like that. I knew the DE could be used on a ZE and vice versa...and i knew about the VAF thing... so this is good news.

thanks again.

Do you still need the diagram? I have a 93' full manual and a scanner. PM me if so and I'll email it to you or something.

Pre 96 pin outs are the same for ZE as the MX-3 this is why we can use our existing wirring harness. Also I've got the MX-3 pin out diagram from mazda
