It may be vague question, but roughly how much would the labor cost to have a mechanic do an engine swap for me? US

no really expect like 1-2 grand for gay labour do it yourself cause it is ez x100000000

so dont get gaytown mechanic to do it unless you r mentally retarded

First, you need to tell us what state you live in, so maybe we can answer you. Here in Cali, you can get a swap for $500. No warranty.

cost me $1000, and I helped.

It it all depends, there are many things you can do for the swap, and preventative maintenance while the motor is out, which wouldn't be a bad idea. Some people can do it in a day, other's a few evenings, depends on who and what. Talk to a mechanic, that's probably the best way to get an idea on price.
