Invested in your v6 mx-3
Had it for 3 years now and invested roughly $7300USD in it now. Have parts in garage for an additional $1170USD and have to buy parts for $1575USD before my baby is complete performance wise.

I own my MX3 for one month, bought it for $2200 and invested $1100 more in new brakes, complete exhaust with catalyst, new radiator, fluids (also my favourite engine oil Petro-Canada), headlights, bumper and I hope after new paint in spring 2007 it will be all. I want to have my MX3 just like new, with no tuning, there will be just one major exchange - transmission, I will put there my KL transmission with 21k km. ![Smile :)](./images/smilies/icon_smile.gif)

Bought in 95 for $10,500 canadian
with 80,000 kms
Mods:
Mostly for performance/maintanance
Now:
KLZE swap in 2001 at 240,000 kms
from Japan Auto for $2200, with a 700 core fee returned for the k8.
Many other modifications as budget permitted and years went by.
currently 295,000kms, only driven in summer since 2000.
Possible next car:
Mazdaspeed 3, Anything starting at 200 hp and up. But I hate to think of payments again.
Now you youngins can by the same car with all the mods for less than I paid for the car alone back in 95.

well bought my car for 500 and a klze for 500 spent about 7 gs total on kit system. new paint job and new rotors breaks calipers...

500 on catalitic converter and exhaust pipe
300 on rims
300 on pulley and belt
150 on air intake
500 on CF hood and altezza tail lights
200 on sound system
100 on interior
50 on wipers
70 on transmission oil change
Total = $4270
I still have to spend around 2000 on paint job, 3000 on engine swap, 500 on the interior, 400 for tires.
