[FS] PARTING OUT an entire 1992 MX-3 GS 5-spd
ANOTHER UPDATE: I have removed quite a bit from this car. All of the parts I've removed can be found here: Partout Pictures
There is still a lot more I could remove so REQUEST REQUEST REQUEST!!
UPDATE: I have been receiving quite a few requests for suspension & brake parts. Removing the majority of these parts would make it impossible to secure a wheel to the hub and/or lower the car so much that it'd drag on the ground. Since I need the car to 1: be able to be parked without rolling down my rather steep driveway & 2: be able to roll onto a flatbed towtruck when the time comes for it to get towed off....I simply CAN NOT part these parts out off the cars chassis. If you are local & would rather take the leftover car for its brakes/suspension peices or whatever, then lemme know ASAP. The majority of what I"m willing to part with include: Easily accessable engine parts & stuff under-the-hood, light housings, all interior bits & sensors. Body parts include hood, lip spoiler, rear spoiler, left fender (other one is dented) drivers door, rear bumper, front mudguards, hatchlid & fuel filler door.
Original Post: Hey guys. I'm parting out that Gold MX-3 in its entirety. I had a bunch of buyers for it, but for some reason it won't fit any tow-dolley b/c of clearance issues with the frame, so I figure it'll be better to just part it out for what its worth & get a scrapyard to pick up the remainder of the car once thats over with.
Here's a couple pics of the car:
More located here: http://st85.startlogic.com/%7Eimazdaco/goldmx/
I'll part out any peice of this car with you guys. Only main issue is big things like the Hood, doors, hatch will be PICK UP ONLY.
Door panels & stuff thats bigger I may be able to ship but keep in mind it won't be cheap.
The time frame for this car leaving my property permenantly is pretty short, maybe 2-3 weeks from this post date so don't waste time asking about stuff.
PARTS:
Body peices that are in good shape include: hood, driver fender, driver door, sunroof panel, hatch, fuel filler door, mudguards, rear bumper.
Interior bits that are in good shape include ALL but the following: Front seat has a rip on the seatback, rear seat has a tear in the top, rear seat cushion has a rip at the seam on the bottom passenger cushion (barely noticeable). Otherwise the door panels, dash, plastic trim peices are MINT & flawless...no blatant defects (Ie scratche's burn marks etc).
Engine parts include pretty much everything: JE50 airflow meter, intake mani w/injectors, valve covers, timing covers, intake hose & box assembly, air conditioning parts (the a/c worked, no leaks), starter, etc. I am not willing to take apart the engine too intensively unless the price is right, so make your requests & we'll go from there.
Electrical bits include: full power window system, full power lock system, power seatbelt system, guagecluster with 116.5k miles, radio am/fm cassette, power sunroof, etc.
So Make those requests! I'll do anything! Stupid little s--- like fasteners, screws that secure certain parts, entire systems (power window, or seatbelts), engine parts (distributor, starter, valve cover, manifold, etc) JUST MAKE THOSE REQUESTS!!
Thanks guys.

Interested in the front bumper w/ lip to Alma, GA 31510 if it's not too big to ship. It's the same color as my car and my bumper is pretty beat up.

bumper is torn..i doubt you'd want it. The lip is in OK shape...both ends of it are torn where it meets in the middle, but it still fastens to the bumper & all the connector thingys are there. I'll remove it later & snap some pics of what I"m talking about.

Re: tow dolley
Thats what the previous owner said, but I am not guarenteeing the engine is OK or trashed. I personally wouldn't trust that its "just the timing belt" but that is what the previous owner said. I never got it running so I couldn't tell you for sure.jimishadow wrote:i have tow dollied 9 mx3' s in the last two years,i used u haul,,before you strip it,if the engine has only a broken timing belt,i will buy it...please respond, thanx jimishadow@yahoo.com
As my ebay ad said, its a great candidate for a KLDE or KLZE swap. The rest of the parts worked fine.
The reason it won't get on a tow dolley is b/c one of the front springs BROKE due to rust. THere was actually a mazda recall for this exact reason back in the mid-90's saying something like "springs can break punturing tire & causing an accident". Solution? they installed these lil bracets to hold the bottom coil onto the strut body.
The one spring needs replacing, if the coils were spaced out or teh spring were replaced, it probably would fit a tow dolley.
I still haven't shipped any parts of the car off yet, but I have received payment for 2 peices of it. If you want the car whole, lemme know ASAP b/c i'd rather get rid of the thing whole.
