hmm autozone wants 100 DOLLARS for valve cover gaksets..what are these made out off??? Flubber? was wondering if i can just simply use some gasket maker??

Autozone only sells the complete kit, which is everything you need for the engine. If you want indivisual gaskets, your only hope is Mazda/Ford.

There is some company that makes/sells just the gaskets. I've bought them from places other than Mazda and only got just the gasket.

Take a look around at places like rockauto.com, NAPA, Advance Auto Parts and other parts stores. You'll find them.
OH, any K series motor valve cover gasket will work, but they should have the same part number meaning that if it is available then it will show up for the MX-3 too.

u can pick up a full engine gasket set on ebay for like 100 bucks

Normal price is about $50 for both.

The reason y Autozone sells them for $100 is because it includes both valve cover gaskets, and all new bolts and grmmets for the valve covers.

check out ALTROM on google. these guys are suppliers to napa and such. You can't order direct but you can tell your friendly napa dealer to get item #xxx from them. Best quality, only JDM products for mazdas.

woah i found out i had HUGE vacuum leak from the valve covers,, the gasket was destroyed..

Also check online at Ebay stores and look for a parts supplier there. Often you can get full sets, new and sealed, for far less than chain stores. I got a complete gasket kit for my ZE from Cada Ltd. for $125 shipped. Came with EVERYTHING!
