if at all you ever get worried about scraping it. which you are not at all. and i probably wouldent be either, but you could always put a small skid pan in front of it. and tack it to the crossmember. one shouldent be running into curbs anyways :)

yea i could do that..but i probably wont. I just hope i dont have to drive in any realllly bad rodes anytime soon. The rodes around here are pretty good for the most part.

I just dont get the reasoning behind not hacking the crossmember.

You get a better fit and clearance with less bends. Whats the problem?
94 Mazda MX3 GS - 395 whp 397 ft lbs untuned on pump gas and stock KLDE 15 psi boost. now running 16 psi and E85.. numbers=? 425ish whp
