KILLERPICKLE,
What I am asking is this:- When you cut the wire , is the wire from the HEI now going into the LOOM or into the DIST Might seem like a dumb question but its better to be sure than sorry.

Into the loom. Ensure that the 6th wire does not go into the distributer - esentially by passing the HEI of the distributer. And yes, your right, much better to be sure than sorry.

My distributor is shot. Can I do this mod? I am not a mechanic but if I have a good diagram or instructions I can try.

Anyone can do this MOD [ well almost ]
I was told the Dist. was shot so I did the Mod. & it works!

I found it under the v6 faq. Learned a lot, gro did an awsome job on that and his work helped me out a lot.
