You want to use the ECU and VAF from the US spec 2.5. I'm not sure what the numbers on those parts are.

KL-DE + KL02 (VAF) + KL01/KL02/KL05 ECU

KL02 looks like the JE50 has the same connector but sends other readings voltage-vise.

What's important is that you get the VAF and ECU from the same kind of car it came from. it's simple... that motor worked properly in the other car with the VAF and ECU that was also in that car... You'll be very happy with that setup. I recently completed my ump-teenth one of those swaps, and each one is more and more fun... Good luck!

The KL31/36 ECU is the KLZE which was used with the JE50 VAF in Japan in the MX6. The US Spec ECU uses a KL02 VAF.

I was actually running an American ECU with a JE50 on my ZE for a week or so before i remembered I had to swap the VAF. It seemed to work fine. I've got a Megasquirt so I'll be removing the VAF completey in a week or so.

Post on the for sale/trade forum or check on http://www.mx6.com or http://www.probetalk.com for your best bet... it's likely you'll find one much less expensive there than at a junkyard. Good luck!

This is correct only in the upper (i think at 6000) RPM-RANGE the KL02 ECU used with JE50 is running lean ! I was running this setup on my ZE for a while.

That should work. Until I got my KL31 ECU I ran the MX6 set-up - KL01 ECU with the KL02 VAF.

Check again on PT for the ECU and VAF. Place a [WTB] "want to buy" in the for sale forum here if you like.
