Lol! unlike those who shy away from the harder stuff, I prefer it most times when I'm on the highway. My MP3 cds look something like this:
Slipknot
Mudvayne
Metallica
Anthrax
Testament
Limp Bizkit
Eminem
Guns n Roses
Pantera
System of a Down
Irish Decendants
Captain Tractor
Ice Cube
Chantal Kreviazuk
Megadeth
Slayer
Kiss
But not necessarily in that order

Hmmm... This topic has been around before but it's still a good one.
At some point when driving, I probably listen to just about every kinda music made over the past 60 yrs. and even the occasional classical CD, so picking some is a tough choice there. I play the sax (no, not while driving) so jazz & blues are on a lot.
But... when I really feel plugged into just DRIVING, like comin home on a Friday from work, or leaving for a road trip to wherever, burnin one with AC/DC CRANKIN will always be a timeless ritual IMHO. Old school ya but who cares.

The number one all time best driving cd would have to be
ACDC "Highway to Hell"
Of course there are many other greats, Led Zeppelin 4, Lenny Kravitz Greatest.....
who doesn't love Mr Cab Driver????
my 2 cents....
