Lol! unlike those who shy away from the harder stuff, I prefer it most times when I'm on the highway. My MP3 cds look something like this:

Slipknot
Mudvayne
Metallica
Anthrax
Testament
Limp Bizkit
Eminem
Guns n Roses
Pantera
System of a Down
Irish Decendants
Captain Tractor
Ice Cube
Chantal Kreviazuk
Megadeth
Slayer
Kiss

But not necessarily in that order :D

Real Big Fish
Yellowcard
NoFX
Rancid
Sublime

Hmmm... This topic has been around before but it's still a good one.

At some point when driving, I probably listen to just about every kinda music made over the past 60 yrs. and even the occasional classical CD, so picking some is a tough choice there. I play the sax (no, not while driving) so jazz & blues are on a lot.

But... when I really feel plugged into just DRIVING, like comin home on a Friday from work, or leaving for a road trip to wherever, burnin one with AC/DC CRANKIN will always be a timeless ritual IMHO. Old school ya but who cares. 8)
