RS Mani on a B6T

Post by TEAMpK »

Has anyone ever swapped their DOHC Intake Mani on to a DOHC B6T? I need to use my intanke mani to keep the sleeper IC setup I have. Thanks...

No...but i'll try to take some. Looking at the 2 gaskets the bolts don't line up. I can't swap heads without rebuilding my RS one, since I blew it all to hell. Anyways...I'll see what I can do.

if i remember correctly, the exhaust mani will fit but the intake will not. their has got to be a way to get it in there without cutting the hood. i know allot of diesels use flat intercooler piping. if you could rig something like that up, if you went wide enough it wouldn’t hurt flow too much. you could always customize one. I personally would use the BPT intake mani and cut and manufacture a new flange and have someone weld it.

You mean like this? This is a M1 Miata Intake manifold that we modified to work on the B6T head. The neck was cut off and we fabed up a custom plate for a BBK Mustang 75mm Throttle body. The other mod needed is a hold drilled in the diver side of the flange w/ a pipe adapter for the heater hose.

I've got my old SOHC motor in a deep dark hole. If I remember correctly, it doesn't fit. But if necessary I could dig it out.
