HVAC Indiglo panel look

Post by Mnemonic »

ok guys its come down to this, because of people wanting a custom look (backgrounds, fonts different glowing colors and logos) we are going to have to comprimise

1. 3color original design
<img src="http://www.digitalviscous.com/albums/us ... ate-v2.jpg" alt=" - " />

If we get this design there is no customization allowed it will look how it does now you cant have custom fonts or anything it will look exactly how it does right now.

2. <img src="http://www.digitalviscous.com/albums/us ... 3hvac3.jpg" alt=" - " />

Now if we go with single color (what ever color they can use or you want) we can have different color backgrounds different fonts different symbols and logos its basically you can design it exactly how you want it to look so you can have your custom look.

Now for the 9 people who have paid i request you post your votes and not use the polls because since you are the original people to support the gb your votes count double.

AND DO NOT VOTE IF YOUR NOT PURCHASING, IF YOUR NOT GETTING THESE UNITS I DONT CARE WHAT YOUR OPINION IS AND NEITHER DO THE PEOPLE THAT ARE BUYING.

i think it'd look better with the 3 colors then it could with only one color, no matter what color, font, etc. for those who want a one off design, you're getting something pretty close. this is the first time anyone has done something like this that i know of and we'll be the first ones to have it, can't beat those bragging rights. another plus to the 3 color is that it'll match most of the indiglo gauge faces better than a singl color would. anyways, that's my vote/opinion.

All the graphic designer guys out there, please provide some new and modern fonts. This font is used everywhere and is too outdated.

If lookes the best in 3 colors, but one other suggestion i had was, lets come up with a new trim for the direction symbols (windshield, feet, etc.) this ecliptic shape looks too old.
So now that we are in the designing part of this project, lets build the kewlest looking one out there. :2thumbsup:

 i like #1..only because #2 is too plain for my taste. i dunno tho, #2 looks cool too, but you cant really tell hot from cold in the temp part. oh but 1 question:
is the face white like the gauges are? or black? imo black would look better, with the blue glow instead of green at night.. just curious. thanx

I'm in for style #1, BUT...

Now that I think about it, the white face might look a little wierd - even if it does match my gauges. Plus I've got silver painted dash trim. Gotta color-coordinate you know. ;)

But then again, it may look fine once it's on there. I also agree with Kav that the fonts are old-looking. It'd be so cool if we could get updated fonts and maybe some newer style symbols. Might be asking too much from SpeedHut, but if we're going to do this and be the benchmark, we may as well do it right.

No it will look however we design it but take note it has to voted on and approved by speedhut as well as us, and the reason i chose Eurostyle is its the best looking font in the San Serif Catagory, Something organic or wild would just look in my own opinion ugly so im up to a font change just make sure you go with something proffesional and clean and not wild and crazy looking, also i do have the official mazda font we could use

I don't see why we'd need a font change. There isn't much room to fit the OFF 1 2 3 4 in there anyways, so using some crazy font isn't going to fit. And IMO any kind of cursive font is going to look so hideous that you can consider me out of this GB alltogether.

as for the symbols..that'd be cool if we could find some good pictures from maybe some other makes/models. Nothing too complex, just some cool symbols.

I'm in for number one, a few things I"d like see, if possible.

1. Font is the same as most indiglo gauges people seem to have

2. The color is the same blue in the day time as the aforementioned gauges.
