Lowering

Post by A.S. »

Whats involved in lowering? is it just the springs that are replaced or the struts also have to be replaced. I just got new struts and I dont want to have them changed again.

the springs are what controls how high your car sits. If you get lowering springs, they lower your car, but they increase the spring rate, making them stiffer, so you dont bottom out. Because of the stiffer springs, the struts have to work harder. OEM struts dont work too well with this increased load, and will blow out eventually. This is why I recommend always doing both springs and struts at the same time.
