t3/t4 turbo and injector question
first off im tired and been reading way too much info. is anyone running a t3/t4 turbo set up, getting mixed thoughts on this turbo for a klze motor, got a 14b and am planning on selling it and can either get a t3 or the t3/t4 but dont know which is better. other question is what size injectors are you running for a turbo set up on the klze. other thing is a fuel pressure regulator, anyone running one, thanks, im going to keep reading for a bit.

Re: t3/t4 turbo and injector question
a t3 is too smal for our 2.5 the only t3 you could use but still will be small is a t3 super 60..I suggest going with the t3/t04e or b
as far as the injector goes it depends what kind of boost you are running..It still suggest getting millenia kj injectors..they are 280cc versus our stock taht are 220cc..but still the 220 will get you up to around 5-6psi..after that swap them..I heard the 220 are good for around 280hp so don't quote me on those numbers

Re: t3/t4 turbo and injector question
i know a guy who is good with turbos, he told me the t3/t4 would be no good because it would take too long to spool.

well that depends on what you want. As the Spool time decreases, potential boost decreases as well. If you want massive HP.. you gotta put up with some turbo lag, the less turbo lag = less power.

Re: t3/t4 turbo and injector question
unless you get one of those turbos i have seen with a t4 turbine side, the spool up time wont be bad. if you want low rpm spooling get a .48 ar turbine t3 and a .60 compressor side. that should spool right around 2500rpm.
92' mx-3 gsr, built engine, forged internals, p/p ze heads. t3/t4e .63/.60 turbo, udp, msd ignition, millenia s injectors, millenia im, water cooled intercooler, afpr, fmu. running at 7 psi right now

mm that shows he doesn't know much..a t3/t4 with a .68 a/r turbine would start spooling at around 3000Originally posted by Dali:

we're talking about the 2.5 not the 1.8L

Re: t3/t4 turbo and injector question
I am running a .63 t3/.60 T04B S trim. It is a perfect match for the KL motor.
Even when my KL was n/a I wouldnt expect to go fast unless I was at 4.5k+ RPMs.
But as a matter of fact the driveability is awesome with it. Low end power is much better and highway mileage has gone to 31-32 MPG. Part throttle the car also has more power.
You dont want a small turbo on a K series motor. Its just not a good match.
Oh yeah, and lag is next to nothing. If I wanna punch it from a roll, I just hold RPM's at 4k and the turbo spools instantly when I punch it.
