Damndable Dash
I am actually in the midst of Installing the dash of a mx3 from 1996. This is getting hard and tedious. I unfortunatley have to do it by myself. No one in my area will even take the job.
It might be that the dash requires cut and paste to the brackets, or the fact that I am also changing the climate controls to the 96.
Frustrated, constipated, diarea of the mind, and yet I have this overwhelming confidence it will get done.

If can make it better, stronger, faster. I will...
Re: Damndable Dash
Remember to take pics! I'd love to see pics during the disassembly. If it looks like mind-diarrhea, I'd just abandon that project myself
No dammit, it's not a pimped out Mazda 323!

Ha Ha! Love it! With that attitude it WILL be done! Keep it up!Frustrated, constipated, diarea of the mind, and yet I have this overwhelming confidence it will get done.

I really dont see why your going through all the trouble??? The 92 Dash is by far much nicer looking than the later models in my opinnion
But still think its cool your modding your car allthough i dislike what your doing to it

Re: Damndable Dash
The older dash much nicer looking than the 94+ models? are you kidding? I have people who ride in my car for the first time ask me if its new after getting into it ('94 RS). The dash in the '93 and older models quickly answers any unspoken age questions. Oh well, thats my opinion, and you have yours.

i think the later model dash is to busy, at least for me it is, i like a simple interior and not a bubbly spaceship look

Re: Damndable Dash
I have a 92 model, and every freaking time someone gets in my car for the first time I get this damn question:
"Hey, isn't this a mazda 323 dash???"
Argh, I hate the fact that they're right...bvah.

Re: Damndable Dash
the fact the newer style dash weighs a crapload more with the stupid electronic HVAC and solenoids required to operate them (more weight & more failure-prone) on top of dual airbags is reason enough to switch your 94+ style dash to a 93 style.
