Corbeau Seats
Hi guys. At this point I would like to replace my stock leather seats with a pair of black Corbeau A4s.. http://www.corbeau.com/brochure/A4.shtml I assume these are comfortable and fit in an MX-3.. Does anybody know? More importantly, I can't find a "Custom Bracket" for the MX-3 on Corbeau's page at http://www.corbeau.com/bracket.shtml ..I've seen MX-3s with Corbeua seats before - is there an alternative bracket (323/MX-6) or a custom bracket I can use? If so, are there any drawbacks to using them? Also does anybody know if there are any modifications needed for the seatbelt system, or will it still work fine with the new seats? Thanks, guys!

Re: Corbeau Seats
Darren and I both performed the racing seat modification, search the appearance forum for racing seats and you will find it

Re: Corbeau Seats
Actually I know both of your guys's cars. I really like Darren's (spidie, right?) I've seen and read a lot about it and always thought it was very unique. I've also seen bits of your car all over for a while.. Actually, when I first got my MX-3 I wanted it to look pretty much like yours... (specifically) Thanks, btw

Escort GT 91-97 and 323 88-93 list the same part number and should fit our floor plan. That being the Corbeau brackets. I believe you may need the sliders as well. Probably cheaper to modify youe stock ones though. Check seat height carefully as well as the thickness of the bottom cushion. YOu might end up higher than you want to be.

Re: Corbeau Seats
Hmm... How do you know 323 brackets wil fit..? Also, just checking, but you're talking about the 2WD 323, right? (Apparently the 4 and 2WDs are different) Also, seat height is something I could still use some clarification on, even though I've read all the seat-related posts... I really, really, really don't want the seat to be any higher than stock... Any info? Thanks, btw

Re: Corbeau Seats
Mx-3 and 323 (2wd) and Protege and EGT share the same floor plan. It's built on the same chassis(BG). If you want to be absolutely sure go find any of the above and do some measurements. As far as height is concerned, I would again look at dimension specs for the seat that you are interested in and compare it to Mx-3 seat measurements that you can take yourself. Other thing is, if I were you I would definitely place my bottom into an physical seat for a test fit before buying it. Find a dealer that carries them or a person that has them installed. Some models are made for the track and may not be a great choice for the street, unless you are getting it for the track/strip.
