Re: glass headlights finally
I'm skeptical, but I'd be interested in a group buy if it works out.

Re: glass headlights finally
I feel the same way. Might be good for shows but everyday driving might be a concern. Especially people that live in bad climate with alot of junk on the road. Also the fluting on the lenses is there for a reason. Without it you do not get a uniformed pattern of light in front of the car. Just some thoughts...

Re: glass headlights finally
yea i was thinking about the same things. for what i know, these guys work with custom glass for automobiles and windshields and windows. i know they're using something called a crystal quartz glass or something like that which they say is really really durable and bonds to silicone really tightly. im pretty sure it won't be dot approved and im going to talk to the guy to see if he can add those nipples and ridges. it should be easy for the nipples when the glass molten is still hot because its really soft when hot and all he'd have to do is pull out the nipples. maybe i can get him to make a mold of the ridges inside and have him use that to put ridges on the lenses.

I've been wanting to do something like this for a few months now, i just polished mine up for about 45 min. last night with that blue magic stuff, it worked real well, made me a little dizzy though, stupid ammonia. I'd be in but only to put them on for shows.

Re: glass headlights finally
i just came back from the shop and he's happy to add the nipples and use a certain high-durable glass called crystal quartz for $32 per lense.
