KLZE EGR wireing help

Post by mdavis »

I did a search but couldn't find anything about the actualy wiring of the KLZE EGR valve. The solonoids and vacuum hoses are easy to hook up, but the K8 EGR VALVE wire connector clip and the KLZE EGR VALVE wire connector clip are different.. Here is a pic of the KLZE EGR valve (left) and the K8 EGR valve SENSOR (right) - (same part from both)

(If this doesn't load copy/paste the address into a new browser window and reload it.. sorry...)
I tried using a Ohms tester to check to see if the wires were configured the same way by trying differnet 3-prong combinations while pressing the internal EGR switch (the K8's is visible on the right) with my finger. I had no constand results... Does anybody know if I can just splice the K8's wire and solder/clip the wires onto the KLZE connector in the same physical order..? Thanks for the help!

Snip off the K8 connector, solder on some female bayonet type connectors and stick them on directly. Cover it up with tape.

That is what I would be doing if I had your problem.
