Preformance Axles

Post by Trevor »

I'm planning a ze swap this summer in my 92 gs and I want to know where I can get axles that will handle about 250+ whp. and about how much I can expect to pay cnd. The reason I'm getting the axles now is because mine are just about gone.

Stock axles will handle a ZE's power. How are you planning on hitting 250+whp?

I think his point is the lifetime waranty. You break it, you swap it again. You can probably get at least a year out of each one. I believe the people who's axles fail most often are lowered. If your ride height is low, then it may increase the service interval even more.

ok maybe I'm over estimating the amount of hp I will be putting to the ground. I want to run a ze with obx headers, cold air, port and polish, and NOS. I plan on lowering my car with either eibach or supension techniques springs with zx2 struts but lets not make this a disscution on that. So with a 1.5-1.8" Drop and a ze with just an intake and exuast can I get away with stock axles?

The Canadian Tire lifetime warranty only works if you pay them to put the axles in - but I wouldn't let any Canadian Tire "mechanics" I know touch my car!

Oh really!! I think i'll just have to pay them a visit then. Cause i asked the guy on the phone "Does this come with a lifetime warrany?" he said "yes"...and im like, "Are you sure?"...and he says "yes".

So stock axles should be fine for Daily driving a car with a 1.75" drop and 200hp right?
