B&M or pacesetter

Post by J.W. MX-3 GS »

I going to replace my worn shifter bushings with bronzoil ones, and i might as well install a short shifter at the same time. I was just wondering which one one guys prefer, what are the pros and cons of each with handliing and install. I know that the pacesetting one is adjustable, but beyond that.. :shrug:

Use the search function. This topic has been discussed a few times. I have a B and M. To me it was worth the money.

I chose the pacesetter but mainly because it was adjustable. I wasn't sure exactly how short the b&m would make it, and I wanted it SHORT so I got the pacesetter :)

pacesetter doesn't make very high quality stuff(not downtalking your shifter or anything). I have used alot of B&M and its 10x better than pacesetter. You could also modify your stock shifter(I forget who did the step by step).

I have the B&M with bronzoil bushings, I am very happy.
To look at, the shifter is only about, maybe an inch shorter than stock, but the actual throw is a lot shorter and more precise..
I paid the price for a B&M for a quality gaurenteed product that got me the results I want..
I would say if you want it for shifting performance, get the B&M.
If you want it for looks, get the pacesetter.
@ds
