yes i race civics... legally of course

. they are very easy as long as the don't have swapped engines or turbo's. i just beat a 98 civic with mods, with my stock 92 GS. anyway, good luck... tell your friend he should look into the car before saying untrue things.

Here are the numbers...keep in mind that I added 200lbs to each car's weight to simulate a person.....

Mitsubishi 3000GT: 4000lbs, 160hp 1/4mile time: 18.10seconds

Mazda MX-3 GS: 3000lbs, 130hp1/4mile time: 17.63seconds

no, the simple fact that the VAST majority of 3000GTs are NOT VR-4s....they are the stupid slow models that also happen to be the heaviest FWD cars.

<HR></BLOCKQUOTE>True the 3000GT only has 161HP but it also has 185TQ @ 4000 while we only have 115TQ @ 4500. In the 1/4 mile race more TQ usually means winner. It would kick the s--- out of a stock GS MX-3, base model or not. Sorry guyz

VW TDIs can be modded to almost 300lbs/ft. with maybe only 150hp but they still run the quarter in 15 seconds.they just spank everyone in the 1/8 mile!
