Having problems with my amp.
My amplifier is making noises. When I turn up the bass on the amp, the subs start to pop in an out really fast and making noise at the same time. What can I do to stop this.

But I hooked up the same amplifier in a friend of mine's car and the promlem still persists. What is this???
Re: Having problems with my amp.
try turning down the gains on your amp or the bass boost on your head unit. sounds like you might be clipping your amp.

Re: Having problems with my amp.
If your amp is clipping its probably either wired up at a lower ohm level then its made for or, its got a bad ground. Try grounding it to bare metal. Sand off the paint and tighten the ground down onto the frame. If its still clipping make sure you have your sub/s wires at 4ohms and you should be safe since almost all amps are 4 ohms stable. Goodluck

Re: Having problems with my amp.
It's probably a loose connection within the amp. If it still does the same thing in a different car then the problem has to lie within the amp.
