i have 6.5's all 'round. my guess is that mazda put in smaller speakers to keep the costs down. when i bought my speakers the sound shop went to their 'big book of info' and according to it the standard size is 6.5, fits w/o any mods.

i have a clarion deck also, an sd 415 i think - but have not had any problems with it (yet) i did, however,have 2 of my 4 clarion speakers replaced after only 3 months or so. seems the removable treble parts were hitting part of the larger cone (or something like that). the new ones seem fine so far.

i bought some metal polish called 'autosol' - but if you read the back it says it will also work on plastic - worked real good for me. i used to use it on my motorcycle and the plastic fairing too!

go to a tire site and read up on mixing tires and tire types. snows on the front and all seasons on the rear is dangerous stuff. some of that info was an eye opener for me.

there is a beeping sound when you exit the car with the lites on?????????????<BR>my car does not do that!!!!!!!<BR>and i have the very bad habit of leaving my lites on when i get out of the car.<BR>hmmmmmmmmmmmm,i must look into this...

ok, so i get into my car yesterday and my driver's side mirror is cracked. now what do i do?? can the mirror be replaced or do i have to replace the whole unit? anyone know the degree of difficulty for this job?<BR>thanks for any info.
