I noticed that the shifter on my 5 speed manual transmission has a lot of pay in it. Any idea what would be worn out causing so much play? I wanted to install a short throw shifter what would I need to eliminate all that play.

Is the GS a MX3 or a 323? Also it doesn't make sense to me that you would have to change the master cylinder.
