Oh yeah....I used a Sharpe paintgun (about 20 years old) and a real crappy compressor. This time around I will be using a professional quality HVLP (either a Sharpe, DeVilbiss, or SATA) as well as my new upright compressor (Campbell Hausfeld 28 gallon tank with 5.5HP motor). The paint should be MUCH...

Thanks for the props. It is not as perfect as I want it, but that does not really matter, because I am going to be repainting it later this year. Probably will keep basically the same design, but change it a bit...more complex....and add some silver to tie in the Kevlar dash kit. Here are some pics....

I painted my wifes MX-3 by myself with no experience. I think it turned out great. I am actually going to be repainting it later this year, so I will get even more experience. I now have a learning curve, so it should look better and be easier for me. Dont skimp on the prepwork.

They are not rare. If you are saying they are rare just because you dont see many people with them...that is not rare. I can go on Ebay any day of the week and get altezzas for $150. The reason you dont see them is because most people think they are stupid and they dont put them on their car anymore...

Ok guys...show is tomorrow. I will be in the parking lot of the HOBBY LOBBY in North Richland Hills from 11:15-11:30am tomorrow. We plan on showing BOTH days. The gates open at 11:00am so come early so we can park together in the show! Our car is not perfect...and I am self-concious about many things on it, but I figured why not show it. It is a daily driver, so it will not be perfect.

We went with bars because plexiglass would get scratched with the everyday uses it gets....stroller, groceries, etc. My design originally did have plexi, but they talked me out of it because it would get messed up....I'm sure they are right. As far as the neon light....I dont really like where it is...
