I don't see why a larger filter would slow your spool time. The turbo will only take in air as it needs it. It isn't like a larger filter is going to FORCE more air in just because it is bigger. In actuality, a larger filter with quality breathing elements would help insure that your turbo gets good...

I had a similar problem with my 93 and it did turn out to be that the speedo cable retention clip was not clipped on all the way at the cluster. This is a rounded clip that wraps around the actual cluster-end of the cable. You can also reach up from the bottom of the dash to get to it, though you ne...

That is more work than it sounds. Going from ATX to MTX is easy. The opposite is more work than it would seem. Already looked into that. If the parts car does not sell, then I might entertain tracking down another MTX at the junkyard to stick in it. The problem is that MX3s in junkyards are hard to ...

Anyone wanting a project car, this RS can be had for $200. Come pick it up! Needs a new MTX and clutch pedal as I stole it for my ATX to MTX swap, a little body work (rusty in spots), and a little wiring touchup. I stole the plug for the MTX neutral safety switch. I can provided pictures if needed. ...

Go to flyinmiata.com or corksport.com and browse through the 1.8l BP parts for the Protege and the Miata. The guys at Flyin Miata have been very helpful the past couple times I have dealt with them, too. Valves, lifters, pistons, cams, cam gears, fully ported and polished heads, etc. Anything inside...

I used both originally after my swap. I used the starter from my B6 because it looks like the previous owner had recently replace it and it was shiny. After almost a year on the BP, my engine still starts on the first crank. I had used the original B6 alternator for a while but it eventually died. I...

Personally, I think that given the size and weight of our cars that at most, a four disc brake setup with factory sized rotors, a good set of PBRs or EBCs, and some stainless lines is the most you would ever need for good solid braking. If you are worrying about overheating, run some ducting channel...

I noticed a big difference going from stock to the regular ebay variety strut braces. When I went from the generic ones to Corksport, I really could not say I noticed a difference. The CS ones are defintately more solid and constructed better. Of course, they just look sexier, too. Even used, I woul...

Actually, as I just had to help a friend diagnose something similar on his Audi, did you check to make sure your fuel pump is pushing fuel? Check the wiring to the pump to make sure it is sending voltage when you turn the ignition on. Then if it gets voltage, check the fuel send line at the engine t...
