Yeah that is worthwhile as long as the motor is in good shape. When we bought mine the car was still intact and we were allowed to do a compression test on the motor (while it was still in the wrecked car) you might considerd seeing if they will do the same. Turboing a non-turbo BP swap
I have access locally to a BP front clip from a 1995 mercury Tracer... it's a non turbo BP05.. I've ALWAYS planned on turboing my mx-3.. a BPT from a GTX or GTR seems like alot more hassle and alot more money then this front clip is going tobe..(motor $300/can; calling tommorow for a front clip quot...

OK, I just jacked it up and bent back the heat shields; however, it is still making the grinding sound. Either I didn't do enough to the heat shields or maybe it is, in fact, my front right wheel bearings (that's where the noise is coming from). So, my next question is how much does a wheel bearing...
