Idk if any mx3's came with factory alarms...
If you don't have one, then you'll need sensors and the wiring as well.
If you don't have power locks, you'd have to install actuators for that feature to work.
I'd probably try to put it in the dash somewhere...

Re: Need Help - Rear Passenger break sticks. Ideas?
Free pads and rotors?! SCORE!! I thought that was the proportioning valve. I've pulled one off an sohc rs and an mx6, but neither had an engine in the way, so good luck with it! Get a wrench for brake lines, those fittings are very easy to round off. Pinched line sounded iffy to me, and I also suspe...

Re: Need Help - Rear Passenger break sticks. Ideas?
I'd suggest checking the rest of the brake line, all the way to the proportioning valve on the firewall and the master cylinder. Also, check the other lines. I don't know exactly how the proportioning valve works, but maybe there's an issue there if you're on your third caliper. Where are you gettin...

Re: Official Rant thread.
My rant: A company called Flexible-Flyer. They make swingsets. Here's the story: My mom had been hunting for a good deal on a swingset for my 3-year-old niece. Kids love swings! A deal came along from Atwoods, on a Flexible-Flyer set that was within her budget. and MADE IN USA! which made her happy,...

Re: SuperK's Sad Day :(
SuperK, sorry man. I didn't see this till today. Been wondering what was up. No rush on the headlights... I know how that can be. Last June marked the end of almost three years with a girl I found while I wasn't looking - which I thought was one of those 'ideal' kind of loves. "you'll find her ...

Re: extreme low idle and throttle body spacer
Timing seems to be fine. I've never tested it, never questioned it. IAC, TPS, and TB all likely need a good cleaning, evidently, it's long overdue, lol I just don't fully understand how it can manage such a low idle... Thanks for the info on the spacer! I bet this one is stock, since it is also on o...

Re: 94 RS D6-DE F25M-R High or creeping idle
Good to hear you got her fixed. I've found reverse a tricky gear for several vehicles, not just Mazdas. My trick is, if shifter doesn't slide easily into reverse, hold shifter toward reverse with just a little pressure, and slowly release the clutch pedal. Most of the time, the cars I've done this o...

extreme low idle and throttle body spacer
hey all, I've two things to address, but separate posts didn't seem necessary. I know I've a lot of maintenance to do to this engine, and have researched it: cleaning the throttle body, cleaning and adjusting sensors, etc. and plan to do it all soon, after I finish the suspension and front end work....

Re: removing my engine
Second the input shaft.
Also, check the passenger side's intermediate shaft (jack-shaft, some have called it), may still be bolted to engine (?)

Re: Brake light doesnt like to stay off
Many times that light comes on and stays on, means you're low on brake fluid. If you stuck your finger in it and didn't make a mess, you likely need to top it off. Same thing happened to me years back in my rs, checked the cable and the switch inside the center console, seemed fine. I checked the br...

Re: Mevotech components
Thanks for the info! Good to know they seem sturdily built, and the grease fitting sounds like a good idea as well.
Maybe we'll hear from someone who's had them installed for a while...
