front strutbar after the swap..

Hey, dunno if I've missed this somewhere, but is there a front strutbar that fits with this particular combination.. KL-DE, MS-8 IM, IM spacers, Mazdaspeed engine mounts? I've got the SRD front crossmember on the way, which is said to make more of a difference than a strutbar up there, but would lik...

Re: junk in the trunk, what's the best way to do this..

Ok, thanks. I guess it must be ground issues, although I've had 3 GS's and every single one of them has dimmed the lights at least slightly, when stepping on the brakes. Wish my "stereo" buddy hadn't advised me to buy a cap, . Anybody here want a brand new, digital, 1f fosgate, ...

Re: rear strut bar..

Yeah.. with a dremel or grinder wheel it's cake to modify the steel seatbelt housings. (mine are about to come out tho, as I removed the rear seat) As for the plastic modification, if you're not trying to contour it to the bar, all you gotta do is grab it with a pair of pliers and snap off that litt...

Re: 5-Lug

All 323's are 4 lug aint they? Considering 323's are built on the same chassis as the MX, and I don't think even the AWD turbo had more hp than a GS. I did some minimal research on swapping to a 5-lug and it seemed possible without spending excessive amounts of money, although I did it for performan...

Re: Tokico shocks and spring combo, maybe

I just checked out that info on the ZX2 strut conversion and by what it says, it seems to be a real waste of time and money?!? The info gives only two reasons why not to buy Tokicos's made for us, and they seem pretty lame. The first reason is cost. It's stated they cost $160 each. This is subject t...

Re: Front arm bushing kit..

I'm in the same boat, or will be when I get to the suspension. (somtime after my swap) I think I just decided to go with Mazdaspeed for the name, and fact that I'm doing the rest of my suspension by them, (other than struts/springs) Not good reasoning I know. I will be interested to see anybodies re...

Re: junk in the trunk, what's the best way to do this..

My electrical system has always seemed a bit under strain.. When you press the brakes, all lights dim a little. Also, the knock sensor in my engine is bad, and thus the engine is running out of time until you hit 4k RPM and the ECU changes how it chooses the timing. The alternator is charging great ...

Re: junk in the trunk, what's the best way to do this..

Got another one.. howabout mounting locations for my cap? I've got a fosgate 1f digital that will go inline when the box goes in.. Anybody know if the tire well has enough space in it for like a .8 cu/ft enclosure, and to sink the cap down in there too? I guess I'll leave the amp under the passenger...

Re: junk in the trunk, what's the best way to do this..

Hmm, guess you're right, lol. I haven't ever looked at the back of the carpeting very close, but I'd bet it will stop most moisture from comming through as well. Since I don't have a backseat, maybe keep a sheet of black plastic or somthing under the carpet, in case I wanna put anything extreemely h...

Re: junk in the trunk, what's the best way to do this..

A 10" in each rear corner was my original idea.. Who knows, I may go back to it! I wonder how they might sound? I wonder if there's really enough volume there to suit a small sealed 10", without protruding too much out from under the "sides"? For weight reasons, I'd also really l...
