I am not sure of which cams are in it as I have not looked. If I had to piece it up I guess $1000 for the ZE with wiring harnesses, manifold and ECU if desired. If you are located near the middle Tennessee area we might be able to work out something towing wise. Scooter if you want to give me an add...

Thanks again for the info. I wasnt talking about pairing a ZE and a KJ tranny i was inquiring as to the entire KJ swap. I was afraid a ZE would kill a K8 tranny. I wanted to do the ZE swap but she doesnt want a manual and I had read that ZE auto would not fit. That is the reason the whole KJ issue c...

Doing a ZE would be the easiest thing. If your stock MX-3 auto tranny is ok it will bolt up and work. The ZE does not have enough power to wear out the stock tranny from a MX-3, but it will cause it to heat up more. Thus you'll need to install a tranny cooler to keep the temps down. (heat is the ma...

Actually the KJ is a 2.3 L and I can find nothing that states it differs from any of the other K series engines in the degree of angle. The only thing I have found is that it is taller and may present hood clearance problems. I also read that it uses the same mounts as the ZE. I am still looking for...

Sry for bringing up old topic, but.... (KJ)
Ok, base info: 92 GS auto 137k mi. needs tranny work (as all autos do). Its my girlfriend's car (she fell in love with the mx before mine was totaled) and she wants to keep it auto. I read the two extensive old threads, but never found out if the swap to a KJ was ever done. We started looking at an ...

Re: couple of problems
Thanks guys. I fixed the squealing problem, and replaced the valve cover gasket. I'm going to check it this weekend and if its still acting up I'll do a compresion test.

couple of problems
Hey everybody. Like the topic says I need a little help. First off I have a 92 RS and the belt squeals like crazy everytime I use the vents(my AC doesnt work). Also, when it is squealing it seriously affects my engines power and acceleration. If I turn the fan off the squealing stops, car goes again...

Re: engine rough after high rpms
I went back and rechecked the plugs and wires, didn't find anything there though. I cleaned out the MAF about 3 months ago, and tried to get to the IAT but couldn't get the screws on the throttle body to loosen upa nd I didn't want to strip them out so I gave it up. My car normally does the drop in ...
