Is anyone familiar with a KL97 ECU for the KLZE. My supplier says it was for and 1995 Mazda MS8 but I'm not so sure. Does anyone know? I need it for my KLZE.
I was looking for a KL31 or KL36 but I've never heard of the KL97.

Well physically it seems that most of this stuff is swapping over okay except the VRIS #2 Actuator. The actuator rod doesn't really fit the valve linkage peg very well. I might have to modify the actuator's bracket somehow so that it fits on the correct angle. Perhaps I can take some pictures when I...

Thanks for the quick answer!!! The Millenia Intake Manifold I bought didn't come with anything. No VRIS Actuators, VRIS solenoids, Brackets, Vacuum chambers, tubing, cover plate (access middle VRIS valve), etc. It came with the EGR but that doesn't do me any good obviously. I can't see how's you'd t...

VRIS questions
Okay, I've done a search and haven't found what I'm looking for. (1) I've got an MS8 Intake Manifold (Strait Neck) and I'm changing that with a Millenia Intake Manifold. Can I move over the VRIS Shutter Valve Actuators and Solenoids from the MS8 to the Millenia? (2) Are these parts identical to the ...

Re: MS8 KLZE 5 Speed Manual Tranny
I've tried searching on this before and have been unsuccessful. It's hard to find reference to MS8 (J-spec MX-6) gear ratios. Well, if the ratios are the same as a US-spec MX-6 then yes that would lower the cruising RPM in 5th. I'd like to find some ways to improve the gear ratios on the transmissio...

MS8 KLZE 5 Speed Manual Tranny
Does anybody know the gear ratios of the 5 Speed Manual Transmission from a Mazda MS8 (2.5L KLZE). I know the MX-3 GS has: 1st: 3.31 2nd: 1.83 3rd: 1.31 4th: 1.03 5th: 0.80 Final: 4.39 and I know the 626 2.5L Tranny has: 1st: 3.31 2nd: 1.83 3rd: 1.31 4th: 1.03 5th: 0.80 Final: 4.11 but what would th...

KLZE Block Code Year ID?
Does anybody know someone what can identify the Block Code off of a KLZE from a Mazda MS8? I've called Mazda and few different engine shops around here and no one can look up the Engine's number. The Block Code is KL206631 and I'd like to know what year of car this came out of. Don't worry it is a t...

Did you run the Tach Adaptor off the MSD Box or the center transistor lead?Originally posted by ma24691:

Tach Issue with MSD setup
Hey Everyone, I just recently installed the MSD 6A and Blaster 2 coil and used the 3055 NPN Transistor and 1K Ohm resistor setup. Now of course the Tach doesn't function past 4000rpm. Has anyone found a successful way to fix this? I've searched but no seems to have posted a solution but yet there ar...

So who here is planning on showing up for this? I'm not sure what I'm doing that Sunday but I'm usually free.

Re: MX-West Division in Calgary
I'm going to try hard to be there! I have a bunch of things I want to do on the car before I come. I might just show up either way to see all the other shiney MX-3s. This is exactly what we need in Calgary. So many MX-3s but no club. It might be because of all the performance shops not wanting to de...
