Seat Belt Warning Beep Beep Beep Driving me Crazy!!!!

Anyone else have this problem? My seatbelt works fine, it locks up when it's supposed to, but depending on if I'm leaning foward or back a bit, I keep getting a "Beep Beep Beep Beep Beep....." and the seat belt warning light lighting up. If I pull on the seatbelt (shoulder belt) or lean fo...

The relay is under the dash above the pedals sort of... If you can hear it clicking it means there is power to the relay (so the fuse must be ok as the relay uses the same 12V supply to both energise the coil and provide power to the line side of the relay contact) and the switching is working ok. ...

Well, I think the horn itself is dead for some reason.

I pressed the horn very slowly, and can hear a clicking from under the steering wheel cover? Is that where the relay is?

Had my MX-3 looked at. It has bad bearings in the front. and yet another torn CV boot.

Hopefully those are what is causing all of the noise.

Try that first and if the noise you hear is coming from under the dash it means the relay is probably ok (unless the main contacts are burnt out). You ok with a voltmeter? If you can locate the relay you should have 12V to the GREEN / WHITE wire at the relay at all times and 12V to the GREEN / YELL...

Is it noisy only at that speed - or is it also noisy when your just parked and revving the engine. If yes then at what rpm does the noise start and gets louder? If its not a rattling noise then maybe it is the exhaust. If its noisy only at specific speed (whatever the rpm is) maybe something wrong ...

Can you hear the relay click under the dash? Its not very load but you should be able to hear it with the engine, etc, off. I can only hear a physical switch of some kind when I press the steering wheel center, but no "click" or something else. I'll double check with the engine off. -Ed

OK, fixed the error in my post. Now I can get even more helpful posts since people will know precisely the displacement of my MX-3's engine.

Revs seem to be normal. It's just loud in general, but it starts to get really loud at about 50-60MPH.

It's not the exhaust, I've had that problem before and it sounded completely different.

My horn stopped working too. Search function is not working well. Can't find older threads posted showing how to replace the relay, anyone got a link? I had replaced my dying horn with a nice and loud dual horn. It worked like a charm for many months. But suddenly one day, the horn wasn't working at...

Loud Engine at Highway Speeds

I have a 1993 MX-3 1.6L manual transmission with 105K miles. The engine is very loud at highway speeds, and gets louder the faster I go. Particulary starting at around 50MPH. It's a very loud "RRRRRRRRRRRRRR" kind of constant droning noise from the engine. Are there some bearings worn, or ...

Be very careful with that draincock, if it's a screw type one. It strips very easily, because it's made from plastic.

Best bet is to just yank the hose and let the fluid drain quickly that way. But it's very messy that way. Good opportunity to replace the hoses if they are worn as well.
