Another member found it a new home

My friend found someone with a bit more money who bought it and is planning to fix it up. Too bad it was out of her reach. At least her Nissan she bought with the money should last a year or so.

She doesn't have an extra $1,000 kicking around for parts and I don't have time to finish my own projects.

It smokes on startup, revving, idling, cruising, decelerating. Only time it doesn't smoke is when the key is shut off.

It just seems like they are looking for a cream puff for tuppence. They want something for nothing and don't know what to do when it doesn't pan out. Yet another "Will it pass emission test?" when the smoke is visible and easily smelled.

I see the synthetic 15W50 has a startup thickness of 80. Compared to the 5W30 thickness of 60.

It went through 4 quarts of 5W30 and one 5w40 in a tank of gas. No external leaks, replaced the PCV and still it smokes heavily unless it has synthetic in it. The tailpipe seems to be the sole source and yet it runs quite well.

This one has 244,000 miles on it and when my neighbor bought it, it was great for 2 weeks then it drank a quart in one tank. I tried the PCV first, but no go. Now it's being topped off with 15W50 synthetic (I have a case from my 454 powered '82 Chev C20) it's a shame because it still runs well, but ...

Looks like excessive speed on the other driver to me. What's the posted limit? I'd say he was above 45 mph easily.

Probably it sends them right in front of me! I have to deal with so many slowpoke, no lights at night, weaving all over the road idiots daily that it's not funny! So many yakking on their cellphones or messaging as they drive through red lights that wonder why everyone is honking at them or hitting ...

You mean 3 rotor like my Cosmo coupe and RX2 racecar was? Wish I had a rotary motor to put in my friend's MX3. I'd swap her car for my B2000 pickup (or one of my Comanches). I did one in an AMC Pacer years ago. Put the 232/904 into a Chev van. (no sense wasting it)

I forgot to add most of my Mazda experience is with early rotaries, GLCs and diesel pickups.
