RIP MX-3

Post by Dark_Rider2k3 »

I was coming down this road near her (g/f's) house.. stopped at the stop sign to turn onto the main road to her house (turning left) and out of no where someone came flying from the crest of that hill and slammed into me... (from that left side of my car).. I slammed into the galss of the window and shattered it and we spun 360... and yeah.. i'll have pics.. I'm lucky i'm alive.. it blew the engine off it's mounts =|

We are both okay. I got staples in my head (i think 3..), and had a concussion from the impact on the glass, but we are fine. The car is a complete loss, I didn't even see it yet as I will tonmorrow, but when I came to in the car I saw the center console pressing on the passenger side and the shifter slammed along the passenger seat..

It's not going to work out that way. In fact, I already got my citation from the police. It's the PA plates in Ohio thing... (girlfriend lives 45 min. away in Ohio.. I'm from PA.

Yeah I know. I just redid all my brake lines (what a pain in the a-- those are >_>).... and I did a crap ton of work.

If I get another MX, I think I do want a V6.. yes, I know that I had said I loved the ease of working on a 4cyl, but the V6 has sunroof, cruise, all that fun stuff.

But in all honesty, Idk if I got the V6, if I would do a KL swap... i just don't know if I want to embark this journey again...

the Seat belt really cut my g/f's neck up.. it's pretty nasty. But we did manage to come out okay just sore and with minor injuries.

Oh, and the shifter slammed into her knee...

Crazy, glad you are OK.

even if it is your fault you can still get payment from your own insurance company depending on the type of coverage you do have. if you have uninsured motorist coverage you can even get a settlement from your own insurance. sounds like he was going way too fast for you to react, you may be able to get this overturned. I would speak to an auto attorney they can be worth their weight in gold.

2 years ago I got a 180K settlement... It took 4 years to do but was worth it in the long run.

Also its standard practice if you got hit in the front half of your car to get sited, if you would have gotten hit in the back half the other driver would have been for failure to yield.

I hope everything turns out ok.
