Re: matts 94 mx-3 gs build. 200km MEGASQUIRT UPDATE
So a bit of an update. I made a big rookie error and fixing it has made ms. Glorious!!!!!!! So I ordered the megasquirt with external iat not realizing they set it to run that way out of the box. So I opened up the megasquirt to add on the external wideband and realized the jumper for the iat was se...

Re: matts 94 mx-3 gs build. MOARRRRR GOODIES
Got the idle at 180f degrees at 950rpm with an Afr of 15.5. Idles still all over the place when the motors cold. starting to feel a bit more dialed in and starting to make some good power. Runs really rich at any speed when im pushing it(9.5-12.9 afr). Really enjoying playing with everything but it'...

Re: matts 94 mx-3 gs build. MOARRRRR GOODIES
its fun but stressful. one thing i screwed up was vacuum source for the ecu, used the old cruise control source off the front runners. everytime vris hits the map sensor goes apeshit and motor starts buckin and kicking so i've got to find a better source then that. so tonight i'll wire in the wideba...

Re: matts 94 mx-3 gs build. MOARRRRR GOODIES
so the megasquirt is in using the vaf. it runs. but not very well, i registed my tunerstudio to use the autotune feature and it works well. its usuing my old stock narrownband sensors so i do have to wire in the wideband and it should start tuning well. major surging idle problems and occasional sta...

Re: matts 94 mx-3 gs build. MOARRRRR GOODIES
So I took the plunge and bought a registered version of tunerstudio and the rs232 bluetooth adapter. I'm running out of stuff to buy!!!! Decided that tomorrow night after work I'm gonna install squirt keeping the vaf until I'm more familiar with tuning. Any tips would be greatly appreciated. Install...

Re: matts 94 mx-3 gs build. MOARRRRR GOODIES
So I've got a coolant problem. Getting weird pressure and causing the upper rad hose to collapse. No overheating tho. Not gonna worry about it much cuz new motor is supposed to go in on sunday. It's not a sure thing yet but I've got my fingers crossed. Slowly working on collecting all my associated ...

Megasquirt!!!!!!
So now that squirts here I've got a new list to figure out. I've got to buy another piece of intake piping to take the place of the outgoing vaf, stratified didn't send enough vac tubing to reach the intake and same thing with iat wiring so I'll have to extend that by what looks to be about a foot. ...

Re: Another issue.....any ideas appreciated
it sounds like a bad connection to me. maybe a wire has come loose or a crimp has failed. i'd be on the hunt for a loose electrical connection. my bet is definetly electrical.
