Re: Car shuts off while A/C is on and coming to a stop.
My car runs pretty rough while in gear with the A/C on. Taking it out of gear or killing the A/C smooths it right out. It's an auto, btw (hoping to fix that soon). It's never died but it does shake the car like godzilla was farting on it.

Re: [WTB] Rear Spoiler
I live down south in Poteau, OK. Zip code 74953.
I also need an intake tube if anyone has one, mine is completely cracked in half held together by duct tape.

[WTB] Rear Spoiler - Troll Inside!!!
So my hatch garnish was dry rotted from my car sitting in a field for 5 years, barely touched it and it cracked into 3 pieces. I want a factory spoiler. Only one i've found locally the guy wants $100 for it, way too much since i've never paid more than $30 for a junkyard factory wing/spoiler. Whatch...

Re: how cold is your AC?
Mine was ice cold before all the freon we put in it leaked out of a pinhole in the condenser
New condenser will be here today, just in time for a good old humid 100 degree Oklahoma heat wave.

Re: Timing belt troubles
Woo fixed it! So glad I don't have to tear it down again. Also, the hose I said was coming from the firewall actually connects to the airbox and runs to the EGR solenoid. Don't know why I thought it came outta the firewall, kinda hard to see stuff with nothing but a mini mag light to see by. Which b...

Re: Timing belt troubles
Heh, just found the vaccum hose routing diagram in the shop manual. Looks like it goes to the charcoal canister.

Re: Timing belt troubles
So I think I figured out what it is, on the left side of the motor there is what the shop manual calls a "vaccum chamber". It has a vaccum hose running from the intake. Mine has a tee in it that is connected to a vaccum hose that runs to the firewall. The shop manual shows no tee. Before I...

Re: Timing belt troubles
So I got it on there today. Everything lined up perfectly, right where they're supposed to be. Only problem now is my idle SUCKS! Give it some gas and it runs like a champ, once it idles down it barely runs. Any suggestions? I guess I could take a video of it running if it would help diagnose it.

Timing belt troubles
So my water pump weep hole was leaking, so I installed a new one along with a new Gatorback timing belt. I get it all back together, thinking I had the belt on perfect, start it up, thing has no power at all. Tear it back down, it's a tooth or two off. I've tried about 8 times now to install this th...

Re: OBDII motor in 94 MX3
Ok, there are several Protege's at a yard around here. Probably could have gotten a cheap engine out of one of them but one had a hole through the block, the rest were siezed up. My MX3 is an auto, and i've read that the BP09 was for manuals and the BP10 was for auto's, is that right? Can I use my h...

Re: OBDII motor in 94 MX3
Why can't I use the B6 ecu? I'm sure I can eventually find one, but i'm really trying to complete this as cheapy as possible. I just want to get it moving under it's own power, pulling it up onto a trailer is a PITA! I'll sort out the electrical crap once it's running again.

OBDII motor in 94 MX3
Long time reader, first time poster! I've got a 1994 MX3 RS, with a blown 1.6L motor. I was getting ready to head to a yard to purchase a rediculously overpriced B6 tomorrow. I noticed that the BP also came in the Kia Sephia. I decided to check Ebay and low and behold there is a a BP out of a 1997 S...
