Re: Shifting Issues
Check that your clutch arm is moving enough to fully disengage the clutch just in case that's the problem. First off is there enough fluid in the brake/clutch reservoir? The Resevoir was 3/4 full. We just got a lot of snow so i wont be able to look at it for another couple of days. What should i lo...

Re: Shifting Issues
Sounds like a clutch issue. Yea, I guess thats better than a trans though?? Anyway, I went out again this morning and everything was fine. I went to a deli and pulled back out in reverse and when I went to shift to first it wouldnt go in. I shut the car off and started it again. Except the car woul...

Shifting Issues
This morning my car was shifting fine, I drove about 25 minutes to work and then about 35 minutes to school later on. Shifting was fine until I started pulling away at a light. I went to downshift from 3rd to 2nd and it wouldnt go into gear. Finally i got it in and pulled over in a parking lot. It w...

Re: Mx3 Heat Problem? Thermostat
ok i went to advanced and they didnt have the testers and all the garages wee closed to day. I started the car with the radiator cap off. Eventually the hoses started to warm up. The coolant level in the radiator neck would go down a little bit and then the top hose would get very hot where i wouldn...

Re: Mx3 Heat Problem? Thermostat
You wont always see smoke in the exhaust and might only be loosing a small amount of coolant. And if it was properly flushed when they did the w/p it shouldnt be an air pocket, also new thermostats rarely fail. And personally I don't like to guess when you can just go to your local advance and loan...

Re: Mx3 Heat Problem? Thermostat
Feel your radiator, if it's very warm then the problem could still be your thermostat sticking open either because of improper installation or a faulty thermostat (even new ones). Place some card board in front of your rad to stop airflow, if that helps then your thermostat is stuck open. OOOOKKKKK...

Re: Mx3 Heat Problem? Thermostat
I have replaced my thermostat and the heat and temp gauge worked for about 2 hours and then it started dropping again. I then got the water pump replaced. Nothing benificial happened, still dropping. If I let the car sit, it warms up nicely but when I go around a turn or down a hill or something, th...

[FS] Mini sides, Mudflaps, and Spoiler
Hello everyone. I have some stuff for sale. The mini sides are in pretty good condition. A dark green metallic I would say, almost black. The front mud flaps are the same color, one has a tiny tear at the bottom, after mounting you wouldn’t see it. Also some paint chipping. The rear mudflaps have so...

Re: Letters11 - 1995 MX3 1.6
Also I forgot to mention tha my timing cover gasket is pretty destroyed. I believe that the cover itself is fine but the gasket is covered in oil and all broken apart. There is a significant amount of oil between the engine and the timing area (when looking at the engine straight on). Ive only found...

Wont hold an idle at first.
Hi everyone, thanks for tuning in. The other morning my girlfriend went out to start my car and she said she would crank it over and it would start but then die right away. She did it 3 times and the same thing happened (I figured she forgot to take it out of gear...again). About 10 minutes later I ...
