Is the PRM intake rerally worth it, or is using a K&N cone filter + a 3.5"port just as good?

I just sold my auto and got a 5spd and the clutch seems to be really stiff, compared to my civic and my friend's car, are all MX-3s like this.

I heard that Mazda has a warranty for the lifetime of the car for the springs and they will pay for your expenses if you replace the defective springs.
