Re: WTB GS body in good condition
Talked to Aaron, he's on the fence as to whether he wants to sell or keep his shell. Hey Crazy, I have looked at your 323! You did bunches of work! Mine's about maxed except for rear LCA bushings until/unless I get coilovers and 5-lug spindles with big brakes. You put solid bushings on the LCAs, rea...

Re: WTB GS body in good condition
We autocross at an unused airport runway. I got offcourse, in the grass, without incident. I turned around to get back on the runway, in fairly tall grass. Course workers didn't know there was a depression along the side of the runway. I hit the edge of the concrete right above the tow hooks, just a...

[FS] Complete 92 GS with 2.5, as an upgrade donor
Due to a freak autocross accident, my 92 GS has front frame damage that is not economically repairable. However, the car runs and will drive anywhere within a reasonable distance of Tampa, Florida. Read down for price and negotiability! The GOOD NEWS is that this is a complete GS with major upgrades...

WTB GS body in good condition
A really freaky autocrossing accident has left my 92 GS with not economically repairable front frame damage, plus the need for a fender, engine cradle, bumper, and spoiler. I would like to transfer my recently renewed and upgraded mechanical, suspension, and interior to a good condition body. If you...

Re: mx3 engine swap
Two cents worth: Put a water pump on it now, because it's a b----h to pull everything apart if you do it later. If it turns out you have a bad engine, move the new pump to the replacement engine. There are two shaft diameters, so your existing pulley would have to go with the pump, but other than th...

Re: How to calculate wheel offset
Guys, I am just trying to lend a hand where I can. There have been a number of posts recently that need to be in the FAQ. I (more or less) humbly suggest that this post and my earlier one on the installation of Energy Suspension LCA bushings, might be candidates, as well as the current one on using ...

Re: Rotating assembly seal
EVERYONE has NAPAonline! LOL. I bet they'd ship to him! There has to be an interchange, in all seriousness. It's just a seal. Rockauto also, but I think they're international. Actual mfg part numbers: TIMKEN Part # 1932S SKF Part # 2245/4 BECK/ARNLEY Part # 0523490 NATIONAL Part # 1932 This part fit...

NAPA has them, had one replaced when they pressed a new FW bearing into my brother-in-law's RS. It's just a wheel bearing seal.

Re: Dunlop-Direzza-Z1-Star-Spec-Tires-195/55/R15
Actually, a 195/50R15 is 3.4% smaller diameter than a 185/6514 and will read that much fast on an RS. 889rpm/mile vs 859 for the 185s. and yes, the 185/65R14s are stock RS. 205/55R15 is stock for the GS. A 225/50R15 is EXACTLY the same diameter, 849 rpm/mile, but needs a wider rim, probably 7" ...

Re: 16x8 Wheels installed?(225/50-16 rubber)
We can move this to another thread, but I have to ask about your hub carrier project. Did you go through all the angst of thinning down the shock mount area on the carrier? I read another post on CP, I think, about a guy who has an entire early model MX-6 suspension, shocks and all, with MX-3 LCAs. ...

How to calculate wheel offset
Use this procedure to calculate your offset requirements. These calculations can be used to find wheels and tires, verify if tires and rims will clear existing struts, and to calculate spacer requirements: ABOUT POSITIVE OFFSET: Nearly all front wheel drive cars with McPherson strut suspension use P...

Re: 16x8 Wheels installed?(225/50-16 rubber)
I'm glad the calculations help. Two things: 1. Make sure you use YOUR INDEX number, since this will change with negative camber. 2. Rotor hat thickness has NO EFFECT on the calculation, since you are calculating from the rotor hat WHEEL mounting surface, NOT THE HUB ITSELF! If you got something diff...
