Re: 1992 mazda mx3 will not start with fuel pump plugged in
Did one of the injector wires get pinched? Other wiring get pinched? The injectors are either leaking or their being told to inject too much fuel. Or your timing is off. Unplug all the injectors and with the key on check voltage on each connector. There should be nothing across the pins. If you find...

Re: [WTB] BP Head
The only thing head related, would be making noise, cause low compression, and come and go, is a lifter. Maybe one went flat on you.

Feed line (from filter) goes to the rail. The return line goes to the regulator.

Re: Custom Immobilizer
Ignition trigger (output) is pin 1G (green/white), CAS (input) is 2E (white) and 2G (Orange). I'd go with the CAS. That way your injectors arn't firing. You can also disconnect the Light Green wire at the airflow meter. This will cut the main relay and nothing will have power once you release the ke...

Sorry to bump an old thread. I already tried the search.
Is there a picture of a drilled pan somewhere? What's the best location for the return?

If the car has sat awhile, try running the engine at 2500rpm for 5-10 minutes. I had to do this on the junkyard engine I bought. Mazda doesn't have the best hlas (hydraulic lash adjusters, aka "lifters") on the planet. High miliage makes it even worse.

Re: Electric, or deeper?
If the intake hose is torn your engine will run lean. It's injesting air that isn't being measured by the maf. Replace it and any other hoses you find broken. We'll go from there. Most suggestions you'll find, from people like myself, are assuming that 'obvious' things like hoses and or tune-up rela...

Re: Turbo
I run the AEM EMS (stand alone) in the Miata and the AEM FIC (piggyback) in the MX-3. Don't even bother with the MSD boxes. For what they charge for a timing controller, you can buy an FIC. You need some form of engine management. The stock ECU can't handle more then about 5lbs intercooled.

Re: BP-DE and G-series into RS, use K clutch and pressure plate?
Can I swap my fuel rail and injectors from the B6-ME onto the ford BP-DE (I read the ford rail design sucks...?) or do I need the fuel rail / injectors from a mazda BP-DE? Injectors, yes. Rail, no. I grabbed the rail from a Protege when I did my swap. It put the lines where they needed to be. What ...
