Re: Chipping IAT sensor. Good or bad?

Is it an American car? Carfax doesn't report anything for cars registered in Canada. You'll want to use Car Proof if it's Canadian.

Re: Remote starter / climtate control question

You need to hook up the remote starter's accessory wire (usually orange) to the car's accessory wire (black/red, shows 12-volts with key in accessory and ignition positions, but not in the start position).

Take one of your door lock tumblers or ignition barrel (if you can get it out) to a locksmith. Or find a mobile locksmith who can come to you and do it.

Re: [WTB] Cheap/free (plus shipping) blown struts!

I've got a good set on my RS parts car (I know you don't care about condition). Shipping to New York from Canada would be around $45 though.

Re: [fail] Half a can of propane checking for vacuum issues.

Tell him to go F himself or he'll permanently lose a customer and will receive non-referrals. They can't just not sell you something because its dangerous. You can buy gasoline, can't you? what about acetone? nothing blows itself up better than compressed hydrogen.... lets not even get into knives ...

No. You should be able to start the car in any gear, as long as the clutch is depressed.

Re: [fail] Half a can of propane checking for vacuum issues.

I've had issues with propane too. I've found even running it straight into the throttlebody didn't increase my idle. I found throttlebody cleaner worked much better, and did increase the idle when sprayed into the throttlebody. Also, disconnect the elecrical harness from the IAC (Idle Air Control) V...

Not that it should make a difference to your particular problem, but these adjustments should be made with the engine at operating temps, not cold.

What year is your RS? I have some working 94+ injectors. Let me know.
