Re: EGR plug for pacesetters
I am not 100% on the bolt size, but I am bout 90% it is the same as a O2 sensor. So if you or anyone else has one laying close by, measure it. I would suggest you just go to an exhaust shop and ask them for a O2 plug. Then bolt it in yourself. They'll likely take a 22mmx1.5 (or whatever) and just w...

Re: aftermarket shifter boots?
Yes. You pay like $5 more, and tell them how much shorter you want the boot to be.RedAutobotMX3 wrote:Do the redline products work with a shortshifter? say Corksports?

Sold him a wiper/signal combination switch. Paid me when he said he would, and understands the concept of reimbursement for time spent pulling parts.
Great member. Don't hesitate.

Re: Heater Control Unit
Absolutely not. The newer style uses electronic actuators to adjust the heat flow, etc. It requires swapping the front and instrument panel wiring harnesses, as well as adding the electronic actuators to the blower unit.

Re: Remote Start
I kinda like staying cold though, keeps me awake. If its too warm, I get drowsy. Takes a solid 50km to get the interior of the car to a temperature where I'm comfortable using more than a thumb to steer :D I threw in a hotter thermostat a couple years ago. She gets some decent heat now in the winter.

Re: Remote Start
There's a thread in the truck club about those block and interior heaters. One of the guys had one, and quoted: Those interior heaters were glorified hair dryers, they were only able to get the slight chill out of a semi-cold night. There's all different kinds dude. I live in Winnipeg, arguably one...

Re: motor oil for summer season
if even in hot climates the startup viscosity of oil isn't perfect for optimal flow even with the best cold-starting oil such as 0W-30 (hence why 90% of wear occurs at startup), why wouldn't you always use oil with a low W number such as 5W-30 or 0W-30? It would seem to me that it would be just pla...

Re: motor oil for summer season
I wasted enough time reading that child's word wall he copied and pasted, I've certainly put in enough constructive effort into this thread to waste a few lines of space myself. It won't do any good though, since he's shown time and again that reading just isn't one of his strong points. I'd lock i...

Re: Stripped threads on balljoint pinch bolt - help!
You're all on crack. The bolt shoulder fits clean through the spindle and the ball joint channel. It nut is the only thing that touches the threads. You're on crack! Country boy... And you're also right, now that I think about it. The bolt goes straight through the spindle, and the nut threads onto...
