Im swapping a 1.8BP with a Gseries and jackshaft that dosent line up. My driver side axle clicked in perfectly and fits fine but the pass. side splines fit in(the tra...

well taking the ac out is easy and its only like $20 for a non ac belt. However if you do remove the ac i recommend leaving the condenser in because it sits infront of the radiator and will protect it from rocks and the sort but thats ur call.

I definately recommend removing the ac for your sohc if you dont mind rolling down the windows in summer. It helped my sohc most noticabley at an idle. with the ac the car idled lower and shuddered at low speeds but once i took it out and got a new non-ac sohc belt i never had that problem. If you r...

well i dont have a rev limit on my b6...atleast i dont think it does(i dont race). I was more wondering if the $50-100 bp ecu is worth the "possible" small gain and if that even affects the mileage.

YAY!! I got my BP!! 1 Q

I finally got myself a MT dohc BP and plan on putting it in next week and kinda wondering if my b6 ecu will work with the BP. some people say it will but your better off using a bp ecu instead beceuse of the slight differences in the engines. Is this true? I dont really want to buy a new ecu if its ...

Help! motor took a dive..references for low mileage BP

I just had my motor take a crap in my 93 mx3 sohc and decided I might as well do the BP swap since im yanking the old pos engine out. What places would you recommend for a decently priced and more importantly reliable(not thrashed) japanese 40k-60k. Ive had junkyards give me "good motors" ...

well I think mines flooding cause it idles somewhat high on startup(esp. cold days) and if I kill it has trouble starting again(which is the same problem my yamaha has) but its only my theory. I would like to know any other possibilities... Im not sure of the firing order but if you searched around ...

I moved the striker down and it helped some and wrapped the latch with tape(its still stays....sweet) and that seems to work pretty good. thanks. as for alantamx3's idea, i would consider it; but it rains alot in oregon, or if i wanted to reduce some weight and build another rally car, :P

hatch rattles. any simple ideas?

the rear hatch in my mx3 rattles really bad and i have a friend who has the same problem. Ive elimated all other major rattles besides this one and im up for any simple cures for this annoyance. I was thinking of getting some thin window rubber strippings and lining the latch area of the hatch with ...
