hey maldo, how do you like the new motor? do you have dyno runs before and after? i'd like to see how that motor performs in the mx-3. i'm not going with that motor, but i'm curious none-the-less. anywho, congrats on the motor swap.

don't know about the cars in ontario but in the states the headlights are not illegal because it's the same lights as in the bmw, meredes, and lexus. as far as the other lights(not including washer nozzel) probably are.

yeah, i'm just trying to find out for dyno purposes, the occasional race, and to see if i can find gauges with the correct redline on it(doubt it). thanks again for the info.

is redline based on the strength of the motor or the strength of the tranny? i'm wondering cause i'm doing the 1.8 gtr swap and i want to know what to base my redline on. thanks for any help.

i talked to derrick at cork sport and he told me to get the protege tranny becuase you need a bigger flywheel so you can get a better clutch...so you need the tranny, flywheel, and driveshafts and the clutch for the tranny you get(like you had posted)<P>about the ecu...you won't need to get an upgra...

i believe the smell has something to do with your cat converter. my buddy replaced his when it started to smell like that and it fixed it. hope this helps.

those really aren't recommended unless it's put on for track use. for daily driver, it's bad on your engine. granted, it frees up parasitic drag and thus gives out more hp, but the pulley(s) are rarely completely balanced which in turn, messes up your crank in the long run. just my .02

adelaide jap dismantlers has the whole setup...engine, ecu, harness, and all sensors for a pretty good deal. it just depends on where you're at and how close you are to a port. but if you just buy the ecu and harness they could probably air frieght it to you. the whole setup for the "bpd"(...
