Well, I finally got an answer... after weeks of calling them. There's a message on their machine that the company is being "restructured" and all who paid with a credit card will get a credit to their account.

Car Parts Depot - anyone familiar with them?

I ordered a distibutor from Car Parts Depot http://www.mazdacarpartsdepot.com/ roughly a month ago, started calling them this week since it hasn't shown up. I can never get anyone to answer the phone. Checked online - the status of my order is cancelled. Has anyone on here dealt with them? I suppose...

New Footwear!

Had a stroke of luck today... I've always loved the look of BBS rims, thought of getting them for my truck but they're horrendously expensive in that size. One of my motorsports friends (new RX-7 owner) purchased a set of BBS lookalikes to fit a miata he never ended up buying. They don't fit the RX-...

Any other 96 V6s on here?

Just curious, don't seem to see many 96s. Are we the only ones that are OBDII or does that include the 1995s too? I've had my MX-3 for two weeks, only been able to drive it a little bit since the distributor is conking out (after 20 minutes of driving, it dies and has to cool down to start again). I...

I bought my 96 GS 5 speed two weeks ago for $1500. It has 198,000 kms, but no rust and very, very clean. Distributor is conking out, but that should be fixed soon.

Here's a good deal on a 5 speed....

OK, I think I know what they mean - cam or crankshaft position sensor?? Been sifting through a lot of older posts to see if I can figure out what to do. Is the sensor located on the distributor? (please tell me it's not in the engine :( ) I'm thinking the tach is an entirely unrelated problem, maybe...

Well, we tried the OBD II scan tool, it just came up error. It's also missing while idling. Could the distributor cause a CEL? Could it be a sensor?

thanks for your help! :)
